Terms of Service
The terms of working with the Atelier.
Last updated: September 2026
Who this covers
These terms govern your use of https://lavauxatelier.com and any collection piece, commission, or private appointment you request through it. By placing an order or submitting a brief, you agree to them.
Pieces and commissions
Collection pieces are made to order; commissions are designed from your brief by an Atelier designer. Prices are shown in USD and do not include duty or import tax, which is the buyer’s responsibility on international orders.
A commission proceeds only once its proposal — scope, price, and estimated timeline — has been agreed with you. Once production begins, the piece is being made specifically for you and cannot be resold elsewhere; see the Returns policy for what that means for cancellation.
Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. A charge is only ever created from a price we set server-side — nothing you send from your browser can change what you are charged.
Shipping and delivery
See the Shipping policy for lead times, coverage, and insurance.
Intellectual property
Designs, photography, and text on this site belong to LAVAUX or its licensors. You may not reproduce them for commercial use without written permission. A finished commission belongs to you; the design concept itself remains the Atelier’s.
Liability
We take care in how each piece is made and shipped, but we are not liable for delays or losses outside our reasonable control (customs holds, carrier loss once insured and handed over, events beyond our control). Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law jurisdiction — to be added].
