The Atelier
You bring the beginning.
A designer takes it from there.
A memory, a person, something you keep thinking about — tell us in your own words. A designer listens, studies, and shapes it into a piece. You don’t design the jewelry. You mean it.
Begin a CommissionFrom the Studio
Studio StudyA ring that keeps a letter.
How a thought becomes a study, and a study becomes a piece — shown with our own in-house study, not a client’s story.
01
The Thought
Every commission begins the same way: not with a stone, but with a sentence. For this study we gave ourselves the brief a client might give us — something about a mother who kept every letter her husband ever wrote her, tied in a ribbon, in a drawer that still smells of cedar.
02
The Study
Three settings were drawn. The first exposed too much of the stone — it performed. The second buried it. The third lets the dome rise just above the bezel, so the light moves when the hand moves.
03
The Piece
The finished study: a moonstone cabochon in a low bezel, a band with a softened square profile, the inside polished for engraving. The letter it was built around stays private — some details belong to the wearer alone.
The Making
Material first. The bench decides the rest.
Rough stone, a drawing, then hours at a scale photographs struggle with — setting, burnishing, polish. Nothing that needs explaining.
