The House

A private jewelry house, built around one belief.

Most jewelry asks you to choose from what exists. LAVAUX begins earlier — with what you mean. The client expresses; the designer designs. That division of labor is the whole house.

The approach

We don’t hand you a catalog of settings and call it custom. You bring a thought — a memory, a person, an occasion, a budget — and the Atelier does what clients should never be asked to do: the design judgment.

What you receive is a small number of considered directions, an honest proposal, and a piece made once, for one person. Technology helps us listen and keep records. It never stands between you and the person making your piece.

The bench

Setting, burnishing, polish — most of the work happens at a scale photographs struggle with, and that is exactly where we spend the time. A piece should pass the simplest test there is: you stop thinking about it when you wear it.

We work with 18k gold and platinum, natural diamond and colored stone, and pearl — chosen per piece, never from a chart. Variance in natural material is not a defect; it is the signature of the real thing.

Materials as language

A stone is not an ingredient on a chart. Two moonstones from the same parcel behave differently — one is sleepy, one is awake. Our work is matching the character of the material to the character of the thought behind the piece.

The relationship

A commission is a conversation, not a transaction. You will always know what is happening with your piece and why — and you will never have to chase it. That is the service standard of the house, and it is personal by design.
